COURSE RATING/DESCRIPTION:
This is one of the favorite courses in town for many longtime Las Vegans, who remember it when it was the Sahara Country Club. Even though the Las Vegas National Golf Club offers even mid- to high-handicappers a chance at good scores, this course will probably be remembered best as the place Tiger Woods had the most difficulty with en route to winning his first professional championship. Woods won the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational, despite staggering to a 1-under 70 in his opening round at the Hilton.
From the back, the par-71 track measures just 6,815 yards and the par-5s are all reachable in two for the long hitters. From the middle tees, it measures a playable 6,418 and is 5,741 yards from the front. The par-3s are all relatively long, with none shorter (from the back tee) than 182 yards. The teeth of this course, though, is its par-4s.
Over the years Las Vegas National has played host to numerous celebrities and professional athletes, including members of the NFL, NBA, NASCAR, & PBR.
In 1995, the movie Casino, starring Robert De Niro and Sharon Stone, was filmed at Las Vegas National. The Casino house, sits off to the left of the #1 tee box, between #18 and #1 fairways.

DRESS CODE:
Men: Collared shirts with sleeves, mid length shorts or pants.
Women: Collared shirt, sleeveless blouse of conservative design, and mid-length shorts or pants.
Clothing that is not appropriate includes: denim shorts, denim jeans, t-shirts, swimming attire, gym shorts, halter-tops, tank tops, cut-offs and other dress that is deemed inappropriate. The Club reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is dressed inappropriately.
Non-metal spikes must be worn while on the course.
